Obituary of Anthony Carbonaro, Jr.

Anthony Carbonaro, Jr. Suddenly, on January 7, 2021 of Tansboro, NJ age 70 years.  Beloved husband of Toni Ann (née DeSilvio) of 40 years.  Loving father of Anthony Carbonaro,III (Eileen), Amy M. Brandimarto (Jesse), Shannin G.C. Capoferri, and Danielle R.N. Trainor (Matthew).  Dear brother of Joseph Carbonaro (Sharon), Marguerite Carbonaro-Davey (Jim), Patricia Atkinson (Alan), Gregory Carbonaro, Fran Kuschick, Brian Carbonaro (Maryann) and Loretta Carbonaro. Brother-in-law of Grace C. Whalen (Thomas), Teresa G. Hlad (Stephen), Patricia A. Rutherford (Michael), BettyLou M. Cuthbert and the late Renee Derrig (Mickey) and Daniel A. Cuthbert (Janet). Proud grandfather of Anthony Carbonaro, IV, Sophia T. Brandimarto, Jesse Brandimarto, Jr., Willow G. Mignone (his little miss) and Molly G. Carbonaro.

 

Tony, Along with his family operated CARBONARO’s restaurant in W. Berlin. He was the owner/manager of CASABLANCA CATERING in W. Berlin, and he worked in the casino industry as restaurant manager.  Before retirement, he worked for New England Motor Freight, driving a "Big Rig" as he used to call it.

 

Tony enjoyed being a loving husband, father, and grandfather and remodeling the houses they lived in.   He was an accomplished chef, earning his culinary degree in Philadelphia and he even studied in his culinary trade in Paris.  In his spare time, he went to classes at Rowan Glassboro to learn the broadcasting business to work at WHWH in Princeton as a Disc Jockey and commentator.  In his retired years he was a transportation specialist for First Student Transportation in Berlin, NJ.  A Born-Again Christian, Tony loved to share his faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, attended GCCC Gloucester County Community Church in Washington Township.  

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday January 16, 2021 from 12:00PM to 1:30PM at the COSTANTNO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE, BERLIN, NJ 08009. Funeral Service 1:30PM. Interment will take place in Berlin Cemetery, Berlin NJ. Due to the current regulations, face masks must be worn, and attendance will be limited to follow all COVID-19 guidelines. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Choices of the Heart at 108 Greentree Rd. Ste LM, Turnersville NJ 08012 would be appreciated.
