Obituary of James Spina

James Spina, 80 years, of Voorhees NJ, passed away on August 25, 2021. Husband of “Sam” Isabell Spina (née Snyder). Dad to Michael (Tara) McQueston and Tobias McQueston both of Alloway NJ and Matthew (Lorna) Spina of the United Kingdom. Brother of Margaret LeClare and the late Joseph Spina. Gramps to Margaret McQueston, William McQueston, Sierra Spina and Kaeli Spina. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jim was a graduate of Temple University and was the owner of Spina Mechanical Contracting Company in Voorhees.  He was a member of Local 322 for many years. Jim had an unbeatable work ethic and really enjoyed working each and every day up until his illness made it impossible.

He loved watching old black and white movies with his family, old classic cars and talking about the good old days in Ashland where he grew up. He loved to spend time in Strathmere "fixing" up the house and watching the sunsets on the bay. He was a Rotary Member for more than 50 years of the Audubon/Oaklyne/Haddon Twp. Club and former past president.  In lieu of flowers please donate to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, Cooper Road. Jim loved all animals.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at the Ashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 33 Evesham Rd. Voorhees NJ 08043. Funeral service 11:30AM. Interment in Haddonfield United Methodist Church Cemetery will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage at 419 Cooper Rd.
