Obituary of Barbara Ann Balonis

Barbara A. Balonis (née Ranck), passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Saturday September 4, 2021 at the age of 76. Born in Philadelphia, Barbara was a resident of Clayton for the past 28 years, formerly residing in Washington Township. She was a longtime bus driver for Washington Township Schools and a member of the Washington Township EMS. In younger days, she loved to bowl. Barbara was sassy with a strong, but fun personality. She had her hair done weekly and sported numerous fun colors. She loved to talk, loved her beloved dogs, Gracie and Luke, loved all birds especially humming birds. Most of all, Barbara loved spending time with her grandchildren traveling to the beach at Cape May, making funny videos, singing and listening to music.

Beloved wife of 50 years to Witold (Joe) Balonis. Devoted mother of Robert Johnson Jr. (the late Brenda), Doreen Knoll (Michael), Veronica Mohr (Kevin) and the late James Johnson and Timothy Johnson Sr. Loving grandmother of Danielle Goetschius (Nick), Elizabeth Winkelspecht (Bret), Jacquelyn Knoll, Victoria Mohr, Alexandra Mohr, Timothy Johnson Jr., James Johnson and Jessica Johnson. Great grandmother of the late Wade Goetschius. Dear sister of Russ Ranck (Carol) and Martha DeAntonellis (Mario). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be private at the request of the family. Donations in Barbara’s name may be made to the Gloucester County Animal Shelter, 1200 N.
