Obituary of Angeline D. Tamburrino

Please share a memory of Angeline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Angeline Tamburrino (née Petruzzi), 104, of Berlin, NJ, passed away September 25, 2021. Angeline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.  She spent her entire life in South Jersey and was a proud resident of Berlin, NJ.

Part of a large Italian family, Angeline was born to Joseph and Carmella Petruzzi on September 28, 1916 in Waterford, New Jersey. She was one of thirteen children and grew up on the family farm.  Some of Angeline’s fondest memories were of life on the farm with her siblings. Additionally, she attributed her good health and long life to the benefits of farm living from her youth.  On the day of her death, she was just a few days shy of 105 years old and was one of the oldest residents of Camden County.

Angeline was the loving wife of Frederick J. Tamburrino and the beloved mother of two children, Teresann Lisa and Frederick Tamburrino Jr.  They owned a family farm and later ran an Italian restaurant in Voorhees Township, NJ. Her husband, Fred, died on March 11, 1989 in Berlin, NJ and her daughter, Teresann Lisa, died on June 19, 2020 in Lansdale, PA.

Drawing from her Italian roots, Angeline was proud of her heritage and was a fabulous cook.  Her repertoire was impressive from homemade cavatelli and ravioli to pizzelles and rice pie.  Her favorite way to spend time with her family and friends was over a large Sunday spaghetti dinner.

Angeline’s Catholic faith brought her much joy.  She worked at the rectory and at the convent for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish (St. Simon Stock) in Berlin, NJ for 30 years.  Praying the Rosary was a very special part of her day.

Angeline possessed a great wit and a very sharp memory till her final days.   She took great pride in thinking of and praying for all of her family whom she loved very much.  Angeline is survived by her son, Fred Tamburrino, Jr. of Mt. Laurel, NJ.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, David Lisa of Ventnor, NJ, Donna Gross of Lansdale, PA, Scott Tamburrino of Cherry Hill, NJ, Carey Tamburrino of Grove City, Ohio, Gina Lisa Stockdale of Lewisburg, PA and Jeffrey Tamburrino of Long Valley, NJ.  In addition, she is survived by her great grandchildren Jessica Rush, RJ Gross, Jennifer Lisa, Andrew Tamburrino, Emily Tamburrino, Dana Fronk, Carlie Stockdale, Vincent Tamburrino, Joseph Tamburrino, Olivia Tamburrino, Alyssa Tamburrino and her great-great-grandchildren Gabriel Rush and Raphael Rush.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W.
