Obituary of Stephen B. Lender

Stephen Lender, 59 years, of W. Berlin NJ, went home to be with his son Jacob on Sunday, January 23, 2022. He was surrounded by the loves of his life, his wife and daughters.

Stephen was born to Elizabeth (née Brisbois) and the late Robert Lender. Beloved husband of Theresa (née Heaton). Loving father of Grace (Jon), Josh, Nicole and the late Jake, his best buddy and loving son. Cherished grandfather of Oliver, Greyson and Noah, his number one joys in life. Dear brother of Rosemary Thomas (Bill), Joe Lender (Jennifer) and the late Robert Lender (Lisa). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Stephen found the new love of his life by spending time playing with his grand boys. One of the joys and what he would tell you was also often a ‘disappointment’ was being a lifelong Redskins fan.  He fought a long hard battle with Alpha 1 and is finally free of his oxygen “leash” as he called it. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday January 27, 2022 from 9:30AM to 11:00AM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE, BERLIN NJ 08009. Funeral service 11:00AM at the funeral home. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alpha 1 Foundation at 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd. Coral Gables, Florida 33134 would be appreciated.
