Obituary of George Alvis Giddins, Jr.
George Alvis Giddins Jr., also known as “Bosco”, was born on February 8th, 1968 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Philadelphia Hospital. He was the first born of three sons to Betty Jane Giddins and George Alvis Giddins Sr., (deceased). He departed this life on January 27th, 2022, at Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
George worked as a card dealer at The Sands, Claridge and Caesars Casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He thrived as a sales rep at a Mazda Car Dealership, as well as a Real Estate Agent in Wadesboro, North Carolina. For many years he also succeeded as a Concrete Truck Driver for S&W Concrete in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. His last job was as a Personal Trainer in Northfield, New Jersey.
George was a man of God and a well respected loving son and Father. With his strong presence he left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a man true to his beliefs. He loved and cared deeply for his parents, brothers, children and grandchildren.
In “Bosco’s” favorite pastime he treasured spending time and enjoying gospel music with his mother, Betty Giddins. As well as, gatherings with his children, grandchildren and family. He was passionate in sharing his love for the Philadelphia Eagles and 76ers with his sons, George and Trevor Giddins. “Bosco” also revered talking cars with his brothers, Lydell and Victor Giddins. To George, time with family was principal no matter what, because family is always family.
George leaves to cherish fond memories with: his mother, Betty Jane Giddins of New Jersey ;his children, Samantha Brooke Graciani, George Alvis Thomas Giddins (Courtney), Savannah Jade Rogers(Mitchell), Trevor Butch Joseph Giddins of Georgia; his brothers, Lydell Giddins and Victor F. Giddins of New Jersey; eight grandchildren, Quintin Adam Kelly Graciani, Jonathan Vincent Graciani, Schylar Ann Giddins, Chip Alexander Giddins, Annabelle Marie Giddins, Levi Joseph Rogers, Elijah Scott Rogers, Julia Bella Inga Giddins; Nieces and Nephews; Uncles, Aunts and extended family of North Carolina; and a host of relatives and friends.
