Obituary of Jacob Gooden Richards

Jacob Gooden Richards, 89 years, of W. Berlin NJ, passed away on February 20, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Rena Richards (née Rossi). Loving father of Mark (Janet) Richards and Todd (Tracey) Richards. Dear brother of Catherine Horner, Donna Akley and the late George, Robert, Donald and Bruce Richards. Cherished grandfather of Meredith, Mark, Kaitlin, David and the late Jake and Matt and great grandfather of Reegan and Jordan.
 

Jacob was proud US Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He worked for many years as a Welder Boiler Maker for Local 13. He was a life member of the West Berlin Fire Company for 55 years and was also a past Fire Commissioner. Jacob was a member of the American Legion Blackwood Post and the Berlin VFW #6253. He was also an avid softball player for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday evening from 5:30PM to 7:00PM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE, BERLIN NJ 08009. Memorial service 7:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675 would be appreciated.
