Obituary of Honora M. Mancini
Honora “Nora” M. Mancini (née McLaughlin), 90 years, of Ocean City NJ, passed away on April 4, 2022. Loving mother of Donita Chiumento (Richard), Cindy Olmo, Sue Van Meter (Greg), Judy Ramsden, Dominic Mancini (Marion), Paul Mancini (Jenny), Robert Mancini (Sharon) and Jim Mancini (Nicole). Dear sister of Albert McLaughlin (the late Carol) and the late Francis McLaughlin, Rose Gensler, Jack McLaughlin (Grace), Betty Gallagher, Joanie Chapman, Billy McLaughlin and Claire Brady. Predeceased by her parents Honora and Francis McLaughlin. Cherished grandmother "Nana" of Michael Noce, Ricky Noce (Alicia), Ryan Rose, Amanda Van Meter, Gregory Van Meter, Mike Parzanese (Liz), Jeff Ramsden (Sarah), Dana Ott (Dan), Joseph Junod, Devin Mancini, Francesca Mancini, Dominic Ramsden, Alexander Mancini, Natalie Chiumento, Rob Mancini, Gianna Mancini and Isabella Mancini and great grandmother of Vincent, Daniel, Rachel, Giovanni, Nicholas, Angelo, Luciana, Serafina, Eva and Luke. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and the father of her children, Dominic Mancini.
Nora was born in North Philadelphia PA, and grew up in a large, loving family. As a youngster she loved to spend time with her sisters and brothers, baby-sitting, singing on the radio and singing along while her father played his piano. Nora also really enjoyed visiting with her Aunt Violet. In addition to raising her 8 children, Nora was very involved in helping others from the Holy Rosary Parish in Cherry Hill NJ, where she was a member of the Legion of Mary. In the late 1980’s Nora made her way from Voorhees to Cape May NJ, where she spent many years quilting and working with local gift shops. Nora enjoyed walking daily on the beaches and boardwalks of Cape May and Ocean City NJ, where she moved to in the early 2000’s.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday April 9, 2022 from 8:30AM to 9:45AM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE BERLIN NJ 08009. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00AM at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 809 Park Avenue, Collingswood NJ. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Echelon Lake Senior Living/ Memory Care.
