Obituary of Elizabeth Matsinger

Elizabeth "Ann" Matsinger (née Lambert), 77 years, of W. Berlin NJ, passed away on Sunday April 10, 2022. 

Ann is survived by her children, Julie Travis, Michael Matsinger, and Bryan Matsinger (Emma), and her grandchildren, Connor, Tyler, Brittany, Michael, Riley, Tyler, and Bradley, who lovingly called her Mommer. 

Ann was born in Bethlehem, PA to the late George and Hannah (née Pitner) Lambert and was the dear sister of the late Jane Helwig. She graduated from Millersville University and was a devoted elementary school teacher for over 30 years. Her passion for teaching, and the positive impact she had on so many of her students, is reflected in the many close student relationships she still has today.

Ann was an avid reader and loved playing Scrabble and Canasta with friends. She enjoyed golfing, traveling, and cheering for her Eagles and Phillies. She was extremely generous to her friends and family, never missing a birthday or anniversary, and even donated to many in need through her family foundation, Next Door. However, nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren. Whether it was hearing her cheer from the sidelines as they played baseball or soccer, being celebrated for their educational accomplishments, or anticipating her annual Christmas celebrations, every one of Ann's grandchildren knew that Mommer was their biggest fan. Ann will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her. 

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday May 7, 2022 from 2:00PM to 3:00PM at the Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 442 S. Route 73. Berlin NJ 08009. Memorial service 3:00PM. Interment of ashes in the Holy Communion Lutheran Church Memorial Garden to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the church at the address above would be appreciated.
