We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Jim. He was a wonderful Christian man who had a wonderful heart & was rather funny, always making me laugh. Mr. Law was one of the greats! I knew him from when I was young, my mom being a teacher in Berlin Twp for many years. As I was older and worked for the Berlin Twp Schools, I got to know Mr. Law more as a grandfather to his wonderful grandchildren and also as a sub in our district. I always enjoyed his stories, his sarcasm and his wit. He was one of the best and will be missed greatly. Praying for his family during this difficult time.

Dot and family we were so sorry to hear about Jim passing. We are we not able to join your for the service. Jim was such a great family orientated guy. We’ve known each other for a long time and a flood of memories coming rushing in from Berlin Twp events or Centenaury events. May your memories sustain you through your grief and may God bring comfort and healing to your heart.

I was fortunate enough to be a part of the Centenary family for a brief time. Jim was one of those whose support and kindness made an impression on me. From his contagious smile to his animated enthusiasm to his sage advice during some tumultuous times, he was someone I admired. I often think of humans Dorothy fondly. I pray for her and the Law family. Pains like this never truly heal. I hope though, as you work through it you find comfort in each other and your Centenary family no matter how distant we may be.

It has been an honor and a blessing to have known this remarkable man, James Law. Several times he and his beautiful wife invited me to go with them on their family trip to Scotland and as much as I wanted to go with them I'd turn them down kindly. On one occasion he asked me why I couldn't go and I told him I didn't have the money and I didn't want it too be someone's charity case. He then told me "Don't worry about it son, it's not charity when you do things for family." For him to see me as family in such a short time gave me a love & respect I needed at a crucial time in my young life. He was an "genuine & sincere man" and I hope I can leave an positive mark on someone's life the way Mr. Law & his family did in mine.

Jim Law had it all: a warm, caring and devoted wife, Dot, two wonderful sons, a beautiful daughter, fantastic grandchildren, nieces and nephews, more friends than Jimmy Carter had peanuts, an exemplary business career with Xerox Corporation, a winning smile, a great sense of humor, a universally-respected substitute teacher, and a fair- minded soccer coach and referee. I am saddened to hear of his demise; Heaven is lucky to get him! Jim Law will be sorely missed. He left his mark on New Jersey and Scotland and everywhere in between. Michael S. Cohen, O. D.

Dearest Colin and Law Clan,
I am sorry to say I have a contested in person trial in Woodbury and so will not be able to pay my respects in person to one of the greatest pillars of the Berlin community and grandest wits of all time. I cannot recall a time when I saw your father ( or mum) that I did not have an inspiring conversation nor good laugh. Despite suffering a stroke, he was still at the Veteran's Memorial Services in good humor and fine (foine?) spirits! He had a very rich life and I was honored to share some of mine with him. Colin, you were genius to have that last trip with him, and I wish I had done the same before my dad made his exit. You and your kin are salt of the earth, in large part due to such excellent tutors and examples as your parents. Feel free to call on me for ANYTHING and despite the reality of my middle age, these past two years have BEEN AGONY and this another blow! GOD BLESS to you and GODSPEED to good kith!
Love,
/s/ Jack L. Turner Jr., Esquire

Jim was one of my favorite people. I have had the pleasure of knowing him, fist as a parent because I taught his children. Once he retired he was a requested substitute for many of my colleagues. He was always willing to come into our classrooms on Veterans’ Day and share his experience while he proudly served our country, and he always brought in pictures to share as well. Finally he and his lovely wife, Dot, became friends. He was one of the kindest, nicest people I have had the pleasure to call friend. You will surely be missed by your loving family and friends. Rest In Peace, Jim.
