Obituary of Barry Joseph Hannigan

Barry Joseph Hannigan, 61, of Williamstown New Jersey passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 23, 2022 at home surrounded by his beloved family. He was a devoted husband, best friend, and wonderwall to Linda Hannigan (née Baratta) for 32 years, a fantastic father, Dad, storyteller, advice giver and friend to his daughters Sarah Cannon and Sandra Hannigan, Giver of his best goat to his loved son in law Tom Cannon, wonderful son in law to Elaine Baratta and dedicated dog dad to his only “son” Bailey.

Barry loved learning, graduating with his Master’s Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology. He loved working, spending the last 15 years at Lockheed Martin as a software engineer/ “rocket scientist”, with coworkers he enjoyed and a career and workplace he thoroughly loved.

Born in Clementon, He found his dream home in Williamstown. Barry took such pride in fulfilling his home and backyard to meet the name of the house model “The Grande”. He enjoyed creating the home of his dreams and filling that home with his wonderful neighbors who had become like a second family over the years. He enjoyed wine festivals with his best friends and family, watching football and baseball, his creative electronic ventures, and playing around with recipes in his smoker and grill.

Though he lived his best life, he will be greatly missed by those he left behind.  He is predeceased by his father Robert Hannigan, mother Teresa Hannigan (née Augistine), and Brother Robert Hannigan Jr. He is survived by sisters Nancy MaCaulay (Paul), and Marie DiSibio (Joe), and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday August 30, 2022 from 9:30AM to 11:00AM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE, BERLIN NJ 08009.
