John was a very kind and gentle guy. He befriended me when I was a young agent in the Philly office of the FBI. He knew I had taken judo and got me to start taking it with him even though I didn't want to. I loved it and thoroughly enjoyed being in his company and listening to his FBI experiences. He was a consumate gentleman and is missed.

I was John's secretary for many years at the Philadelphia FBI office. John was one of the kindest, sweetest people I have ever met, as well as the consummate gentleman. John and I had many laughs over the years and even though I banned him from ever microwaving fish in a closed squad area, we were great pals. My most heartfelt condolences to the entire Camera family. I know he is resting in His glory.

A true friend is a gift from God and John Camera was a true friend. We met at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia in 1967 and served in Vietnam together in the 25th Infantry Division as combat helicopter pilots with the Little Bears in 1968. John went to Tokyo for a week of R&R (relaxation and recreation) with my wife and me during our tour of duty. After Vietnam we kept up with each other through phone calls, occasional visits and a most memorable trip to Key West to visit his family. We will always remember John as a true friend and an inspiration. We mourn with the family and offer our sympathy during this difficult time. Attached are a few photos of John in Vietnam.
Much love from Joy and Reab Berry

Glenda and I are truly saddened to learn of John’s passing. As a colleague, he was the epitome of all that the FBI represents. As a friend, he was extraordinarily kind and generous with his time. John’s legacy will be time honored. You will be missed my friend!
