Obituary of Mary DeSpirito

Mary DeSpirito (née DeClement) on November 29, 2022, of West Berlin NJ, age 103 years, passed away peacefully at home with her daughter by her side as she was called to be with God.

A lifelong resident of West Berlin and longtime parishioner of St. Simon Stock Parish, Mary was known locally as the “Cake Lady” and although she was employed as a sewing machine operator with National Garment in Hammonton, sharing in the celebrations of others was her life's work. 

Devoted mother of Theresa (the late James Hildenberger) and Anthony DeSpirito (Carol). Loving grandmother of Deana (Vic), and great grandmother of Taylin and Alexander. Dear sister of Fred Rossi and sister-in-law of Raphaela. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and the Hildenberger family. She is predeceased by her brothers Henry DeClement and Leon Rossi.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday morning from 10:00AM-11:00AM at St. Simon Stock Parish Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 178 W. White Horse Pike Berlin, NJ 08009. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00AM. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Berlin, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent dePaul at 157 W. White Horse Pike Berlin, NJ 08009.
