Obituary of Irene Elizabeth Livacz

Please share a memory of Irene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Irene Elizabeth Livacz “Renie”

(née Kayati) age 83 years of Cape Coral, FL. Beloved wife of Stanley P. Livacz.  Devoted mother of Kathleen Velischek, Paul Livacz and Susan Ford and the late Stephen, who passed away at birth.  Loving sister of the late Kathryn Durham, Andrew Jr., Paul, George Sr., Leonard, Joseph Sr., and Richard. Cherished daughter of the late Irene (née Buckley) and Andrew Kayati, Sr.

Irene, “Renie” was born in Philadelphia on May 31, 1939 as the last of eight children; six boys and one girl, all of whom have pre-deceased her.

Her family moved to Atco, New Jersey when her father, Andrew Kayati, Sr. retired from the Philadelphia Fire Department.  Renie grew up very much loved and supported by her six brothers and older sister on a small family farm.

She attended St. Joseph’s High School in Hammonton, New Jersey where she was a star student who graduated at age sixteen.  She was a stenographer at AT&T and rose to supervisor by the age of eighteen.  Renie met her future husband of 62 years, Stan, at the age of fourteen. They were engaged at nineteen and married shortly before her 21st birthday.

The family moved to Ridgefield, Connecticut and Upper Saddle River, New Jersey as Stan pursued his career. When Stan sold the marketing company, in which Renie played an active role as Controller, they retired to their summer home in High Bar Harbor, New Jersey before moving to Cape Coral in 2003.

When their waterfront home was destroyed by hurricane IAN in 2022, they relocated to the Renaissance community in Fort Myers. Renie was an active golfer and a talented tennis player and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. In recent years Renie’s life has been greatly enhanced by the love of her children, her six grandchildren, and her recently arrived great granddaughter.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday April 15, 2023 from 9:30 to 11:00AM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE BERLIN, NJ 08009.  Funeral liturgy 11:00AM.  Interment of her cremated remains will be in the family plot in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 are appreciated by the family.
