Obituary of John E. Sowinski, Jr

John E. Sowinski, Jr, 67 years, of Atco NJ, passed away on April 1, 2023. Loving husband of Karen Sowinski. Beloved son of the late John and Wanda (née Baldyka) Sowinski. Devoted father of Justin (Kathleen) Sowinski, Jonathan Sowinski, Jared Sowinski and Jacquelyn (Matthew) Gardocki. Brother of the late Joanne Freeland and brother-in-law of Frank and Diane Villa. Cherished grandfather of Charlie, Nathan, Colton, Matelyn, Liam, Abigail, Cayden, Gio, Owen, Erianna and Zach. Dear uncle of Bobby, Valerie, Wanda Jean, Joanne, and Amanda. Also survived by longtime friends Ray and Jeanie Mole, Joe and Michele Pataky, David Falo, and Frank and Chris Pease. 

John was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and grew up in Roxboro, Pa. He attended Roman Catholic High School, and graduated from the Franklin School of Science and Arts. John worked at Virtua Hospital as a Lab Tech for 25 years. He was a member of the Square Circle Sportsmen Club, loved fishing and having his fish tanks setup through the house. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles games and was also a big fan of Penn State Football. 

John had a large collection of nut crackers and gnomes around the house. He also enjoyed planting and gardening in his spare time. His favorite shows were Mountain Monsters, Ghost Adventures and game shows. To relax, John loved sipping crown royal, talking with friends and backyard BBQ's. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 9:00AM-11:00AM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. WHITE HORSE PIKE BERLIN, NJ 08009.
