Older brothers
They can be inspiration, a role model, an older friend.
They can teach, they can share, they can show you the mistakes that they made along the way.
Older brothers can drag you along with their older friends not because Mom & Dad said they had to, but instead because they wanted to.
My brother George Edwin was all these things to me and so much more.
RIP Brother.
We will see each other again.

Condolences to George's family and close friends. I worked with George for several years at the Gloucester Township Campus of CCVTS and found him to be a terrific teacher and fun guy. He was always helpful lending his students and knowledge in school projects, such as constructing the school's new television studio. Innovation intrigued him and he was actively involved in building and wiring a one-of-a-kind lighting control panel that had the ability to adjust studio lamp voltage to maintain proper color balances for the then very fussy color TV cameras in use. George had an innate curiosity, an inquisitive personality, and a thirst for knowledge that lead him to experiment with early Texas Instrument computers and state of the art electrical control systems. His enthusiasm for learning spilled over into his teaching and helped inspire his students. He could have been an excellent salesman, as attested by his arresting sales pitches for the Cedar Brook Fire Company's annual "Fire Truck Load of Cheer" raffles. He will certainly be missed by his students and fellow faculty members.

What a loss. George was one of my apprenticeship instructors. Later we both taught different years at Camden County Technical Institute. He was also a brother firefighter in the Winslow FD. He will be missed as a mentor and most importantly my friend.
He was the guy you loved to hang out with. Please say hi to my dad.

Besides my late father, George was my greatest mentor. I first met him as my third year teacher in the electrical apprenticeship program. Then when I took his PLC program. He was the best teacher I have ever had. Later he was instrumental in my hiring as the electric shop teacher at the Gloucester Twp campus. During my interview he told the interviewer that I was the only person who could replace him in the CET program. I was humbled. I had the opportunity to co teach with him from 1995 until his retirement. We stayed in constant contact until just a few weeks ago. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, teacher and friend. I am heartbroken over his passing. The electrical industry lost a great educator. I have lost a dear friend. Rest easy my friend and please say hello to my dad.
