Please share a memory of Jerome to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jerome M. Pastore, of West Berlin, NJ age 57, suddenly and senselessly passed away on January 3, 2020. Cherished husband of Ethel (née Berry). Devoted father of five beautiful children, twins Rachel (Amando) Guerrero, Jennifer (Eddy) Monroy, James, Matthew, and his baby girl, Ava Grace. Proud grandfather of Lucas, Luna, and Sofia. Dear brother of Dante (Karen), Stephen, John, and the late Michael. Son of the late Ann and Matthew Pastore. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, his aunts Becky (Myron) Garrison and Amy (Brian) Stone, and Uncle Daryl (Heather) Crowder.
Raised in Voorhees, Jerry inherited a love of bringing people together over a good meal from his beloved mother Ann. He pursued a fruitful career in the restaurant industry for the past four decades, teaching others to cook, helping friends run their businesses, and mentoring his colleagues, many of whom became his lifelong friends. In 2018, he pursued his passion and dream of entrepreneurship and became the owner/operator of Shamrock Deli, where he was pleased to greet customers and serve great food. He loved and appreciated his employees and customers and took great pride in making them feel at home.
Outside of work, Jerry enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, working in his yard while enjoying a cigar, and just having a good time with the people he loved. There are so many people he touched in big ways and small ways, whether it was giving you something he had that you needed or sending you a text because he was thinking about you. Above all, Jerry loved his family and his life fiercely. His heart was pure gold, and he will be forever missed.
