I’m deeply saddened to learn of Alan’s passing. His classroom was across the hallway from mine at Eastern for many years, and Alan would frequently stop in for a quick visit and update on his family - particularly his grandkids. I always appreciated his kindness and upbeat attitude. My thoughts and prayers are with family and friends at this sad time. Praying God’s comfort for all of you. May he Rest In Peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. Alan was a beloved member of the Eastern family. Even after he retired, he would substitute teach, and work on testing with the guidance department. He was someone the kids enjoyed talking to, and all the staff enjoyed his positive energy. I know he will be missed by all who knew him. I am so sorry for your loss.
With my deepest sympathy, Sheri Lattimer (Eastern Regional High School)

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your beloved husband, father and grandfather. It was a pleasure for me to work with Alan during my years as Eastern's principal and superintendent. Alan was a dedicated teacher at Eastern for 40 years. In addition to his time in the classroom, Alan often at attended school activities and events. Alan was always spirited and dressed up for the various holidays. I will always remember his lighted Christmas tie and hat. May the love and beautiful memories you shared with your husband, father and grandfather help to sustain you during this difficult time. God bless.
Sincerely,
Dr. Harold Melleby, Jr.

My condolences to the family of a wonderful man filled with among other things, the patience to handle us students.. especially on April Fools day when the twins switch.. and on all other days when us students are full of antics. His life was a blessing and may the memories of him be everlasting.

My sincere condolences to the Reuter family. The obituary mentions Mr. Reuter being a science teacher, but it was time spent with him as my Chorus Conductor that helped me on my way to a career as a professional singer. I am grateful and saddened to hear of his passing.
