I remember: Jim, I believe sometime after returning from his tour in Germany, came one evening to visit my grandparents on Walnut Avenue in Gloucester. Jimmy called them Uncle "Pud" and Aunt Bessie. (I don't know how the name Pud came from Harry, but it did). Anyway, Jimmy came by on his motorcycle offering my grandfather, Harry Talley, a ride. Jimmy really wanted to show off what that machine could do with him behind the handlebars. Oh, my! They sped off down the street with Jimmy driving ( a huge grin on his face) and my grandfather hanging on behind him, disappearing in the distance around the block. I can still see them as they returned and approached the house, neighbors and family watching, laughing, cheeks red, and windblown but their eyes were gleaming with pure exhilaration. My Poppop loved every moment of that ride with his nephew and Jim, you could see, was so proud and pleased that his Uncle Pud trusted him enough to climb aboard. For me, that's a lovely memory of both of those good and fun-loving men. We'll miss your twinkling, mischievous and always friendly eyes, Jim. God Bless. Elizabeth Ackroyd

I'm so sorry to hear this. Uncle Jim was always warm and loving. Almost 40 years ago now, he would drive from NJ to Baltimore several times a week to visit Mom in the hospital. I know he was one of her favorite people. I'm sure he will be missed! ❤️
