I cannot believe it’s been over a year since you been gone…
When I sit back and think about all the times we were together, always making me laugh, and showing so much support for anything I was doing, were always like my number 1 fan, encouraging me to continue to work towards my goals. Remembering the day I graduated high school and how you were there, cheering me on, making me smile, making me laugh as I was walking with my class. Your warm embrace as you hugged anyone, always in your leather jacket, smacking my back sometimes a little too hard lol, calling me Matty Boy… how I wish you were here today, as me and Dani had our first child, a Matthew of our own who would probably be Little Matty Boy, or Little Matty Dude I’m sure lol. An uncle of my own now too, I remember asking to be called Uncle Meatball, I got it from thinking of your sense of humor and how I want to be a cool, supportive, fun, highly entertaining Uncle as you were and Uncle Jay were to me.
Love and miss you very much, this is only goodbye for now, until we meet again, and I expect your embracing hug and slap to my back that will be a little too hard lol.
Love, Matty Boy!

Scotty boy always has a heart of gold and could make anyone laugh! Nicknames....he had one for almost everyone, including me... Papa Dukes! The new recently released TV show So Help Me Todd, the main character, "Todd" reminds us of Scott, not the way he looks, but his actions and facial expressions and quick decisions!! His love for family was on his priority list, especially his children! We think of Scott each day and night and concentrate on the good things he did and his forever wanting to make everyone laugh!!

My beloved son Scott, you are forever in my heart. And the memories flood my mind. I think of you and your brother all day long every day. Sometimes the tears just keep on running down my cheek. I think of you when you were a toddler with the curly blond curls and how you couldn't pronounce your "R's". You had an adorable Brooklyn accent. And when you were older you liked to mimic the older kids you looked up too. I think of how much you loved me and tattooed my name on your arm. You would be so proud of your children right now and it hurts me you were not here to see Cameron graduate kindergarten and Cayla graduate middle school. Joining the ranks of a freshman at Eastern where you attended and graduated. Christopher graduates next year and he is such a wonderful young man. I hang on to the resurrection hope Scott they we will be with you someday and reunited with Jason too. I love you my son.

Every day my heart aches for you. I so often relive in my mind the days of long ago. When I got to hold you in my arms for the first time. How you hated being undressed and taking baths. You would turn bright red. I think of the toddler days too, and the abundant energy that you had. The curly blond hair and cute things you used to do. Your Brooklyn accent because you couldn't pronounce the R's. Throughout your lifetime I hold close to my heart the love you truly had for me and your family. There were the ups and downs at times, but what family doesn't have some of that at times. You even tattooed my name on your arm. You loved family gatherings and made them fun. I cry everyday for you and your brother. My hope of the resurrection brings me comfort that I will see you again someday. Until then rest in peace. I know you can't hear me. I will always love you Scott.

I just found out that Scott passed away in the spring and wanted to write how much Scott meant to me. He was truly a light. He went about his day making everyone happy and being contagious with positivity and good vibes! I wish he did not have to pass in his early 40s because he could have blessed more people with that smile and wonderful attitude. Rest in Peace Scott!

To My Dearest Nephew Scottie,
Who in the world could compare to my high energy, off-the-wall, comically animated nephew? For you, life was meant to be fun and you sure brought the fun to all the family gatherings! You made sure that everyone around you was having a good time and felt loved! You had a way of relating to people that just left everyone feeling great! Your soft heart and warm smile was infectious...And your hugs...they were legendary! Straight from the heart! I think I'll miss those Scottie hugs the most!!!
One of my earliest memories of you was back in 1983 on the way to the Roller Skating Rink with Jason and Willy (remember Will?) You came along for the ride. In those days your dad was driving a Volvo with a bar that ran across the back seat for his sample t-shirts but you saw it as your personal monkey bar and preceeded to swing on it! Car seats weren't really a thing back then. I can clearly remember a song came on the radio "Neutron Dance" by the Pointer Sisters. You just started singing along while swinging on that bar "Whoo-Hoo Whoo-Hoo"!! You were only 3 years old! Already singing and finding a way to have fun!
I feel so honored to have 40+ years of memories of our Scotteroon aka Scotteroonie (Grandma Manis coined) to share with our family. Thank you Scottie for all the Love and Laughs! Until we meet again...
Love Forever & Always,
Your Aunt Lainie aka Lainster

To my beautiful fun loving son Scott... You will always be remembered by your Dad each sunrise and each night before I go to bed, as I've always have, especially after we've talked.
Remembering every detail about you will be easy, from your never forgetting to say before hanging up the phone... " I love you pops and hope you get a good night's sleep" As I replied to you then, I can reply the same now, but now i know for sure you will be at rest and peace until we see you again my son! All my love, "Papa Dukes"

Scotty... My dear brother, I will miss you so much!!! Your expressive personality, funny and jokester ways, which would always draw smiles and laughter to everyone in your presence. And who could ever forget you're outbursts of singing out loud?!?! -which would start out softly and progressively get louder and louder, then end up in a serenade to the closest person standing near you. Lol! Always one to stir up energy to match your own!! That's my Bro! XOXOXOXOXO
I remember the day, like it was yesterday when Mommy and Daddy came into mine and Jason's room to tell us Mommy was gonna have a baby (you). Young and clueless of how baby's were made, I asked how did they know? The understanding of that came years later! Haha!
I also remember the day, like it just happened, when you made me a big brother. It was my first life changing experience. I'll always cherish the times growing up, sharing a room, sharing MY music, your love for music and drums and the Monetti trait for tapping and drumming on anything that made noise.
I will miss your smile, the happiness your kids brought you, your nicknames for EVERYTHING & EVERYONE, I will miss you calling me "Will Man" and hearing you say, "I love you, Big Bro", which how ironic, by height, you were the Big Bro!
I will cherish all the moments, milestones, holidays birthdays, graduations and family parties we spent in each other's presence. You will forever be loved and missed so very much! I love you with all my heart! Til we meet again Lil Bro... Til we meet again!

Scott I love you so much(Mkkkkkkkkkkkkaaaaaay Peter)I could write novels on you. You have given me some major stress as my big brother, but that’s what brothers do. You have a made me a stronger person, watching you as a kid as little as 3 years old. Always wanting to do what you did. Following you with your friends. You hated it, but I think you liked it sometimes. It confirmed your “coolness” in your mind. I’m trying my very best to think of our happy moments and memories, which I have many! You had a great personality and could get along with most anyone. Hyper hyper hyper, always on the move. The strength you had within was contagious ( for me anyway) you as well as my other brothers, have given me a strength that i so very much needed. Especially to live in the world we live in today. I am a very sensitive and emotional person when it comes down to foundation of a person. However, you toughened me up for the times I needed. Scott Monetti, you will never be forgotten in so many ways, I ask for all to please send prayer to myself and my family as they are NEEDED NOW MORE THAN EVER. Until we meet again, rest easy…. Love you…. YOUR ONLY FAVORITE AND YOUNGEST SISTER …. Lyndsey aka Z-wash aka ZZ Top

Beautifully said Lyndsey.....this brought tears to my eyes...those nicknames will be branded in my heart for as long as I live. You described him so well...and I think how when you were little you followed him around and looked up to him. Keep these beautiful memories alive because that is what is going to help us get through this pain on into the paradise ahead and it will help us recognize him when Jesus awakens him.

I know you are shining down from Heaven, watching over your loved ones, keeping them safe and in high regard. I can’t believe you’re gone physically , but God has definitely gained another Angel in Heaven to look over your loved ones down here on Earth.
May God bless your soul for Eternity.

We are truly saddened to hear of Scott's passing. My heart absolutely breaks for your family.
I remember Scott as the guy that could liven up any gathering. A room could go from quiet and boring to crazy loud and full of laughter in an instant. Even if you were having one of the worst days, Scott could get you laughing. He used to call me Rebecca Donaldson and I don't really understand why (lol), but he was just crazy like that!
I also remember Scott as somebody with so much love for his family, especially Lyndsey.
Prayers are with your family during this difficult time.
Rest in Peace Scott.
